When emailing about a bug, the most useful thing you can include is your username and the rough time something went wrong. We can find your account from there.

Safety and abuse

If you've received harassing or abusive asks, or if you believe someone is using WakePup to harm a child, email safety@wakepup.app. We respond to safety reports faster than general support. Target: within 24 hours. See our Child Safety Standards for the policies we enforce.

Privacy and data requests

For privacy questions, GDPR / CCPA requests, or anything related to how we handle your data, email privacy@wakepup.app. You can also delete your account and all associated data yourself via wakepup.app/delete-account; the privacy address is for everything else (data portability, access requests, questions about what we collect).

Common questions

How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the WakePup app or website, go to Settings → Billing, and tap Manage in Stripe. From the Stripe Customer Portal you can cancel, switch plans, or update your card. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you keep access until then.
How do I delete my account?
Visit wakepup.app/delete-account while logged in. Account deletion is immediate and irreversible. All data tied to your account, including your asks, friend connections, and integrations, is permanently removed.
A friend is asking me too often. Can I limit them?
Yes. From the WakePup app, open the friend's detail page or visit Settings → Per-friend limits on the web. You can set a per-week cap for any individual friend or opt out of their asks entirely. They'll get a notice if they hit your cap.
What if I'm not a WakePup user but a friend sent me an ask?
You don't need an account. The email you received has direct response buttons (On it / Snooze / Can't) and a footer link to adjust how often that friend can ping you, or to opt out completely. Everything works without installing the app.
My integration disconnected itself.
OAuth tokens expire on a schedule we don't control (Google: 6 months of inactivity; Microsoft: 90 days). Reconnect from Settings → Integrations and you're back. If reconnection fails repeatedly, email us with the provider name.
